Empowering Communities, Fostering Welfare
Social Services
Social Services are a range of public and private programs designed to provide support and assistance to individuals and groups, especially those who are disadvantaged. These services can include public education, healthcare, and housing. Their core purpose is to address societal needs and empower people to improve their quality of life and achieve self-reliance.
Socio-economic / Census Survey
This survey collects detailed data on population, income, education, occupation, and living conditions in a project area. It helps assess community needs, plan development projects, and evaluate potential social and economic impacts—ensuring informed and inclusive decision-making.
Social Impact Assessment (SIA)
SIA evaluates the potential social effects of a project on local communities, including changes to livelihoods, culture, health, and wellbeing. It helps identify risks and benefits, propose mitigation measures, and ensure projects support positive social outcomes and community acceptance.
Social Safeguard Framework
This framework ensures that development projects do not harm communities, especially vulnerable groups. It includes policies and procedures to prevent displacement, protect livelihoods, and promote fair compensation—supporting socially responsible and inclusive project planning and implementation.
Social Management Plan (SMP)
SMP outlines actions to manage and mitigate the social impacts of a project. It includes strategies for community engagement, grievance redress, livelihood restoration, and monitoring—ensuring that social risks are addressed and benefits are fairly shared with affected communities.
Land Acquisition Plan (LAP)
LAP provides a structured approach for acquiring land needed for a project. It ensures fair compensation, legal compliance, and minimal disruption to affected people. The plan includes timelines, stakeholder consultations, and procedures to address grievances and support resettlement if needed.
Resettlement Action Plan (RAP)
RAP is a detailed plan to relocate and compensate people displaced by a project. It ensures affected individuals receive fair support—such as housing, livelihood restoration, and community services—while complying with legal and social safeguard standards to protect their rights and well-being.
Livelihoods Restoration Plan (LRP):
LRP outlines strategies to restore or improve the income and living standards of people affected by land acquisition or displacement. It includes skill training, job opportunities, financial support, and other measures to ensure long-term economic stability and social well-being.
