Project Overview
In 2020, our team conducted the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the Jetty of Meghnaghat 750 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant, located in Narayanganj, Bangladesh.
The project was implemented by Reliance Bangladesh LNG and Power Ltd., with funding support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The ESIA was a critical requirement to evaluate the environmental and social implications of constructing and operating the jetty for LNG and power plant operations.
Our comprehensive ESIA study ensured compliance with both Department of Environment (DoE) regulations in Bangladesh and ADB safeguard policies, enabling sustainable development and community engagement.

Scope of Work
- Baseline environmental and social surveys for the jetty and surrounding area
- Assessment of potential impacts on water quality, fisheries, and river ecology
- Social impact analysis, including livelihoods and community safety concerns
- Development of mitigation measures to address environmental and social risks
- Preparation of an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) aligned with ADB safeguard requirements
- Stakeholder consultations with local communities and relevant authorities
