Project Overview
From 2017 to 2018, our team conducted Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for two land-based LNG stations, located at Moheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar and Payra, Patuakhali.
The project was commissioned by Tokyo Gas Engineering (TGE), Japan in collaboration with Petrobangla, aimed at evaluating environmental and social impacts associated with the construction and operation of LNG infrastructure.
Our services ensured compliance with both Bangladesh Department of Environment (DoE) requirements and international best practices for environmental and social safeguards.

Scope of Work
- Conducted IEE and ESIA for LNG stations to identify potential environmental and social impacts
- Baseline surveys for air, water, soil, and biodiversity
- Assessment of social impacts, including resettlement, community safety, and livelihoods
- Developed mitigation and monitoring strategies in line with DoE and international standards
- Stakeholder engagement and consultations with local communities and authorities
- Preparation of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs)
