Dr. Nasir Uddin Khan is an accomplished environmental professional with over 27 years of diverse experience in environmental management, engineering, and consultancy. Holding a PhD in Environmental Management and Climate Change from the USA and dual Master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering and Net Zero Engineering from Bangladesh and the UK, Dr. Khan has developed specialized expertise in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), environmental policy, solid waste management, water & wastewater treatment, sanitation & sewage treatment, and energy auditing. His work spans globally, contributing to projects funded by the World Bank, ADB, UNDP, UNEP, JICA, and various private and governmental bodies across the UK, Europe, Asia, and North America. He has played key consultancy roles in developing environmental management systems (including ISO 14001), environmental policy development, implementing greenhouse gas inventories, and advising on decarbonization and net-zero solutions. An active contributor to fundamental research, education, and capacity building, he frequently participates in technical training, policy workshops, and international conferences focused on GHG reduction & Decarbonization, sustainability, environmental assessment & monitoring, waste management and environmental legislation. Dr. Khan is also affiliated with several professional bodies including IEMA, AEE, and IEB (Life Fellow), and is widely recognized for his strong commitment to sustainable development with notable contributions to pollution control and national environmental initiatives in Bangladesh.
